Oculus Germany has released the JENVIS Dry Eye Report software for the Keratograph 5M. The report summarises all the dry eye examinations possible on the K5 in an easy to understand report for both patient and practitioner.

There are four default K5 examinations required for the report: automatically-graded conjunctival redness, tear meniscus height, non-invasive tear break up time, and meibography. In addition, a grading of lid-parallel conjunctival folds from the slitlamp examination, and a dry eye questionnaire (OSDI or McMonnies) are also required.

These six core results are vividly presented in a radar chart. Additional examinations can be added to expand the scope of the report, such as lipid layer analysis (using the K5) or corneal staining (from the slitlamp examination).

The report can be printed and handed to the patient at the end of their dry eye examination, to reinforce the results and more importantly, adherence to their home treatment or any in-office procedures you may have recommended.

The JENVIS Dry Eye Report is now included in the TF-Scan module with new Keratograph 5M units. Older keratographs (type 5M and 4) can be upgraded by purchasing the corresponding licence.
