In late January, Optometry Victoria had the opportunity to meet and speak with the second year Deakin University optometry students. The session was part of Deakin's 'Transition to clinical practice' program.
This was a great chance to talk about some of the benefits of membership of the association, and to provide the students with some important information about managing risk as a practising optometrist.
Most importantly we thoroughly enjoyed the chance to speak with the students afterwards, over pizza and ice-cream.
Thanks to all the students for making the time for us, and to the Deakin staff for including the association in the program. We really appreciate the opportunity to be involved!
