In late February, Optometry Victoria had the opportunity to meet and speak with the third year University of Melbourne optometry students. The session was part of Melbourne University's focus on preparing students for moving to clinical practice.
This was a great chance to talk about some of the benefits of membership of the association, and to provide the students with some important information about managing risk as a practising optometrist.
Most importantly we thoroughly enjoyed the chance to speak with the students afterwards, over pizza and doughnuts.
Thanks to all the students for making the time for us (and apologies to the table that we missed taking photos of!), and to the University of Melbourne staff for inviting the association to speak. We really appreciate the opportunity to be involved!
