Tips and tricks for examining little humans
The student seminar is open to all Deakin University and University of Melbourne optometry student members, from all year levels. The seminar has been developed in partnership with DOSS and UMOSS.
The theme of this year’s seminar is paediatric optometry. Guest speaker’s optometrist Peter Nixon and early career ophthalmologist Dr Christolyn Raj will provide optometry students with strategies and techniques for examining children, and ways to interpret the information obtained. It will focus on not to be missed paediatric signs, and include a case-based discussion. The latest developments in research in the paediatric field will also be highlighted.
The seminar will be a fantastic opportunity to hear from some of the leading experts in paediatric optometry in Victoria, to experience a CPD seminar including the chance to test your knowledge at the end of the seminar through online assessment, and a great chance to meet and network with optometry students from both Victorian universities.
